Well, I thought all the photos were rather good and sorry that the winner is being announced so late.

"Hooded Crane" was the winner - so a big congratulations to the photographer.

When I saw this picture on HK's blog, I thought it was a real one. I only noticed it was a model after it was entered in the competition.

Thanks everyone
Shawn, it's a Kaiyodo model - I got her in a trade, the series it's from is called Natural Monuments of Japan. They make/made the best birds, really beautiful figurines.

Harriet,

Any hint as to where I can find these? Online? Some on Ebay--but not your crane.

thanks!

This series is quite rare I think, there's a Japanese ebay type website, I can't remember the name, that's where the person I traded with got them from.
