Default Mojo lion: the best lion figurine at the market?

Until now there were no figures of male lions at the market that satisfied my taste. But Mojo lion is just what the doctor ordered! So I dare to say that it is the best male lion figurine available at the market today.
And here are some pics.
I settled the new lion in my Africa cabinet display – look how he is studying the terrain:

The former “king” of this “jungle” is being expelled by the stately Mojo male:

And here he's wading a river and stepping on a bluff sand ridge:

This figure reminds me of this guy:

And here’s a concise review - pros and contras - of available today lion figures by major brands ">

Schleich 2008 lion

Pros:
+ Good body proportions
+ Good availability of Schleich in many countries :) ;)
Contras:
- Strange-looking blond mane
- Mediocre paintwork, especially at the muzzle
- Glossy finish

Papo 2004 roaring lion

Pros: none to my taste
Contras:
- Small head
- Strange-looking paws
- Mediocre paintwork
- Glossy finish
In general, this figure looks more like a toy from a gladiators playset than a wildlife item.

Papo 2006 lion

Pros:
+ Stately appearance
+ Very detailed, artistic mane
Contras:
- Oversized muzzle and paws
- Boring paintwork
- Glossy finish

Safari 2011 lion

I haven’t held this one in my hands so can judge only by photos. Looking forward to comments by those who have this lion in their collections.
Pros:
+ Stately posture
Contras:
- Short legs
- Boring paintwork

CollectA 2011 lion

Pros:
+ Beastly look
+ It looks more like a wild animal than a fatted zoo lion
Contras:
- Awkward pose
- Unrealistic muzzle

Bullyland lion (63600)

Pros:
+ Aggressive pose
Contras:
- Mediocre paintwork
- Unrealistic muzzle

Mojo 2011 lion
Pros:
+ Realistic muzzle: details, expression, that predator’s look…
+ Excellent paintwork
+ Matt finish
+ Optimally dynamic & elegant pose: not static and not too dynamic or saltatory
Cons: none that I could detect

What do you think about it? Do you agree or disagree with the above evaluations?

I think you're a little too severe with the 2004 roaring lion! Its pose is very unique compared to common standing poses we see everywhere.

It is, his pose is maybe the only advantage of this figure. But it is too exaggerated, so to say. It reminds me of gladiator fights :)

It was originally meant as a crossover figure with their gladiator figure.

Yet you can still play pretending a lion fight with this figure! You know, an animal face-off.

i have to agree, i just bought the Mojo lion, and have to say it is by far my favorite lion. i have nothing against the Schleich or Papo ones that i have, but i just like the look. like he is crouching.

And I agree the Safari ltd 2011 lion's paint job is not excellent. Just a black nose with a black stripe underneath, with no whisker roots, no whitening around the mouth... it's just so boring. Just like if a 7-year-old painted it...

Couple of days back , I had a chance to take out my K&m animals from the storage .

The Lion [ from the wild animals collection polybag set ] is a pretty decent one too . Hard hollow plastic make .

Also , recently I bought the Nayab young lion . Very nice figurine indeed .

Well, I'm not excited by these K&M and Nayab lions. Nevertheless, if they cost not much, they could be worth their price.
