Default MB Gray Whale Calf

I recently got the Monterey Bay Gray Whale Calf, the pictures show it as being a light grey/blue, however my figure is a darker grey with an almost green tint to it. Is this an older colour version, as the little booklet seems old or is there no lighter coloured version? Pics below!

I thought I was buying the lighter one that I have seen in pictures, as the same picture was used for the listing on ebay. I paid $5.00 for him. So is there al lighter coloured one and is this one really as rare as you say?

Actually, I think there just are differences between the COPIES. Some may be a little darker than the others, which can happens accidentily between copies of the same thing.

I don't know, but I think so. Adult Grey Whale has some spray black paint on it; so I presume a few copies have accidentily got more paint than others, which created color variances between copies.

I think this is the older paint scheme. I have the same one compared to my adult where its paint is more like greyish.

My adult Grey Whale is warm grey with spray black paint on the back... you mean I have the "oldest" color scheme of all? That the color was changed after a few years?
