I was visiting an Early Learning Centre Store the other week and saw these models for sale.

They are not for me but they are cute and thought I would share them with you. It looks like Schleich has authorised or has passed on the mould for its older Donkey Model to some Chinese company so that they can produce the same model but in a slightly lower quality.

I have some AAA donkeys, a mother and foal, where the foal is made from the mold -- or a copy of the mold -- of the old Schleich donkey. They look exactly like the one in the above photo, but are a few years old.

I've seen the monkey set as well, but by a unknown Chinese maker, the set was available at an online store, but I didn't buy it. good to know it is available by a better known company.

Yes, i have heard of smaller Schleich copies too.
I saw an un-painted set in a warehouse here, with some Schleich wildlife, only in a smaller scale, and un-painted as i said, together with some bad paints to colour them up.

I have that ELC monkee and ape-set, Robert(elephant) did send it to me a long time ago.
They are marked ELC China, no AAA or so.
