I found this among my Britains collection, I always thought it was Britains, but it's not. Underneath it says: Jeol "A" Hong Kong
Does anyone have models from this brand? Or know anything about it?
She's realistic and has a nice pose I think. Here are a few pics...

Very nice lioness. Did you try to google the brand and see what it comes up with? I haven't heard of them, but someone on here probably has.

I wonder if you can find any pictures of the models anywhere. I'd love to see the Zebras and Waterbuck.
If they don't sell them anymore, I'm glad I have the lioness then!

I have never been able to find any more information about these models on the internet.

These models were sold individually that were in plastic tubs at the Natural History Museum in London in the early 1990s. I used to visit the museum as a child and with the little money I had I used to buy some of the models which I since lost.

There were bushpigs, hyenas, waterbucks, male AND female impalas, zebras and many more species of animals. However these were of softer plastic and probably the last set of animals produced before they were completely discontinued. The waterbucks and zebras posted here are of a harder plastic and look much older and so were probably the first lot of animals made. They were made in china or Hong Kong.

I have never seen them anywhere. If anyone ever finds more photos of other animals made by Jeol or indeed more information about the company then do post it here, would be good to know more about this range. Most people posting messages on here talk of waterbuck and zebra but I assure you there were many more unusual animals. I saw them and bought some myself...but that was 20 years ago.....

We'll all keep our eyes open for the animals Schleichzoo mentioned then. There must be something out there about them!
